SAN FRANCISCO -- If superb restaurants, a benign climate, awe-inspiring scenery and a great public transportation system weren't enough, San Francisco also anchors its huge tourism industry on its proximity to world-class vineyards. But researchers and winemakers say climate change is threatening to put the region out of business, as its temperatures are already at the upper limit for many of the grape varieties grown there.
