IBM names partners to develop lithium-air batteries for cars
IBM announced today that it is teaming up with two materials developers to produce a prototype lithium-air battery that can drive a car 500 miles per charge by the end of 2013. The Battery 500 Project, launched in 2009, aims to develop an energy storage system that overcomes many of the hurdles facing electric vehicles today, including range and weight. Go to story #1
