1. SCIENCE:
Better measure emerges of how Greenland's ice melting accelerates -- report
Greenland's glaciers are losing ice rapidly, but a new study suggests it is happening more slowly than some worst-case scenarios put forth by scientists. Researchers at the University of Washington report in Science that the overall flow of ice from Greenland's glaciers into the sea sped up by 30 percent between 2000 and 2010.

Highways, bridges and sewers take an expensive hit from wild weather -- study
Roads and bridges are crumbling across the nation, and while Congress negotiates a new federal transportation and infrastructure bill, climate change is further damaging the systems that keep America moving. Making climate adaptation a priority in city planning is a challenge, especially at a time of tight budgets, according to a report released this week by the Center for Clean Air Policy and the Environmental and Energy Study Institute.
