Waxman faces tests to win support for enviro, energy agenda

Rep. Henry Waxman's (D-Calif.) successful bid for control of the Energy and Commerce Committee means the liberal House member must now confront the challenge of moving bills that moderate and conservative Democrats will endorse. After the 137-122 caucus vote yesterday, Waxman faces the heavy expectations of moving an aggressive agenda with President-elect Barack Obama on energy policy, global warming, health care and other key Democratic issues.
