Questions about emails, transparency dominate McCarthy hearing

There was little suspense at the Senate hearing yesterday for President Obama's nominee for U.S. EPA administrator, Gina McCarthy. Most questions for the EPA air chief from the fiercest agency critics focused on well-known issues of transparency. At times, it seemed that "Richard Windsor" -- the email alias of former Administrator Lisa Jackson -- was the focus of the Environment and Public Works Committee hearing as senators made agency officials' use of personal email accounts a major theme.
