1. EPA:

Administration to defend $8.2B budget request

Even though the agency still does not have a permanent administrator, senior U.S. EPA officials will defend the administration's fiscal 2014 budget before the Senate Appropriations Committee this week. Acting Administrator Bob Perciasepe will appear at a Wednesday hearing to discuss the administration's $8.2 billion request for EPA. That figure represents a 3.5 percent reduction from the levels enacted in 2012.
