Lawmakers banking on energy industry

Sift through the financial disclosure reports filed by the members of Congress who oversee the energy industry and you'll find plenty of lawmakers with investments in firms like Exxon Mobil Corp. or Chevron Corp., as well as stakes in utilities companies and even mineral rights claims. But what you won't see in those recently released records -- which include investments ranging from a thousand dollars to the hundreds of thousands, depending on the lawmaker and his or her own personal wealth -- is much action.
