A partner with Booz & Co.'s global energy consulting practice, Clyde has been deeply involved with performance review and analysis for Murphy's U.S. retail operations. He led the business strategy for the downstream business to branch off as a separate entity.

"Andrew has been intimately involved with the Murphy USA business for several years and has been instrumental in preparing the retail business for our upcoming spinoff," Murphy Oil President and CEO Steven Cossé said in a statement. "I look forward to working with him to complete the process of separating into two strong but distinct businesses."

Cossé will oversee Clyde's work until the completion of the retail spinoff. After that, Clyde will report to Murphy Oil USA's board of directors.

Clyde holds a master's degree in management from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. He received a bachelor's of business administration in accounting with a minor in geology from Southern Methodist University.
