Alaska's 'dying basin' shows signs of a renaissance

Late this summer, Alaska's Cook Inlet will see its first new offshore platform in 15 years. Furie Operating Alaska LLC will begin installing a mono-pod gas production platform at its Kitchen Lights leases north of Nikiski. The platform, now being towed from Corpus Christi, Texas, will be connected by subsea pipeline to Furie's onshore production facility by late October. Production is set to begin before the end of the year.
