Andrés Jimenez is leaving his post as executive director of the nonprofit group Green 2.0.

Jimenez, who started as the organization’s first full-time executive director in 2020, is stepping down to concentrate on his new role as a member of the Fairfax County, Virginia, board of supervisors, he said. Jimenez was elected to that post last fall.

Green 2.0’s deputy director, Adriane Alicea, will lead the organization moving forward as its managing director, she said Friday in an email.

Alicea joined the group in February 2021, when “the world was starting to take notice of the issues with diversity in every industry, and the environmental industry was no exception,” she said.
