Senators scramble to reach deal on WRDA amendments

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) is still hoping to hammer out an agreement for a limited number of amendments to be considered to an expansive water resources bill pending on the floor. Just before a scheduled noon vote to cut off debate on the Senate's Water Resources Development Act, Reid postponed the vote until 2:30 p.m. to allow more time for a deal to be brokered.
