Production Assistant, E&ETV
E&ETV, a video web channel designed for professionals tracking energy and environmental news, is seeking a Production Assistant to assist in all aspects of production.
As a PA with E&ETV, you’ll be expected to successfully balance the demands of both studio and field production including shooting Capitol Hill events as a credentialed member of the press, maintaining a professional and positive environment for in-studio guests and supporting the editorial and production team to produce a quality product -- daily.
Responsibilities will include:
- Preparing the E&ETV studios for daily production of OnPoint, a daily interview show featuring members of Congress, Cabinet officials and energy and environment policy professionals.
- Operating DVC-Pro and HDV cameras with and without technical direction.
- Digitizing field tapes, logging b-roll footage and editing daily programming.
- Assisting in the design and implementation of E&ETV graphics for video and web.
- Maintaining a working knowledge of current environment and energy issues.
- Performing administrative duties including footage management and studio maintenance.
Qualified candidates will have exposure to studio and editing environments. Knowledge of Avid, After Effects, Photoshop and Flash is strongly encouraged. Strong design skills and some web experience is also a plus.
