Senate panel begins push for bill with July 7 hearing

The Senate Environment and Public Works Committee will launch its summer push toward climate legislation with a hearing Tuesday featuring three top Obama administration officials. U.S. EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson, Energy Secretary Steven Chu and Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack are scheduled to testify at the July 7 hearing, which the committee says will "examine the legislative tools available to move America toward clean energy, cut greenhouse gas pollution and create jobs."
