Senate Democrats today unveiled a draft summary of their energy and oil spill-response package with an ambitious goal of passing the measure by the end of next week. The legislation itself should be introduced later today, and Democratic leaders hope to bring it to the floor this week with hopes of passing it before they leave for the August recess, an aide said.
