Shell calls for total revamp of 'broken' Alaska offshore permitting
Pete Slaiby, head of Royal Dutch Shell PLC's Alaska operation, today called for a major overhaul of the federal regulatory system governing offshore oil drilling in the American Arctic, arguing that "the status quo is neither workable nor defensible, and it is putting the development of Alaska's offshore resources at risk."
