Center for American Progress challenges API to energy debate

The liberal Center for American Progress made clear today it wants a pre-election throw-down with the American Petroleum Institute on energy issues. Kate Gordon, a senior energy policy fellow at CAP, said she's been trying to line up a debate with API President Jack Gerard, who's been mentioned as a possible White House chief of staff if Republican Mitt Romney wins the presidency.
