White House orders 30 percent cut in travel costs, 'swift' sales of real estate
Federal agencies must cut travel spending by 30 percent, cap conference costs and "swiftly" sell excess real estate under new guidance from the White House Office of Management and Budget. The guidance comes in the wake of the highly publicized scandal over the General Services Administration's lavish 2010 conference, which cost more than $800,000.
