Capitol Police question activist about photo brought to House hearing

A well-known environmental activist brought to a House hearing today a photograph of a young girl bathing in a tub of brown water that sparked a child-pornography investigation by the U.S. Capitol Police. Maria Gunnoe, a West Virginia foe of mountaintop-removal coal mining, and Democratic lawmakers had planned to show the photograph to illustrate the damage done by strip mining to the people of Appalachia.
