Obama pushes $2B clean tech plan during national lab visit
President Obama today urged Congress to use revenues from oil and gas drilling to fund research into low-carbon transportation technologies and highlighted the devastating effects that sequester cuts are having on the country's national labs. Obama, speaking at the Argonne National Laboratory outside Chicago, called on Congress to create an "energy security trust" that he said was first pitched by a coalition of retired generals, admirals and chief executives.
