Obama calls secretary nominee an expert on climate change, corporate stewardship
President Obama today hailed Recreational Equipment Inc. chief Sally Jewell as an expert on climate change and a corporate leader who is well-qualified to replace Ken Salazar as secretary of the Interior. Obama today nominated Jewell, who has led the outdoor retailer since 2005, to become the 51st Interior secretary, a job that oversees a $12 billion agency and a panoply of land and energy issues.
