4 moderate Senate Democrats ask Obama to intervene on power plant rules

Four moderate Democratic senators today asked President Obama to amend a proposed rule that would require new coal-fired power plants to meet the same greenhouse gas emissions limits achievable by most new natural-gas-fired units. They called U.S. EPA's proposed new source performance standard "unprecedented" because it would require separate technologies to meet the same target.
