House Appropriations Chairman Hal Rogers (R-Ky.) today introduced legislation to keep the government funded through the end of this fiscal year as lawmakers and the administration seek to avoid a government shutdown at the end of this month. Rogers' bill extends the current continuing resolution for most domestic agencies while adjusting spending levels for defense, military construction and veterans programs.
