Jewell's 'remarkable' resume wows Alexander, but other Republicans find her wanting
President Obama's nominee for Interior secretary spent nearly three hours fielding questions this morning before the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, but her work to win over Republicans has just begun. Sally Jewell was praised this morning by Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.), but she was pressed by other Republicans to explain her positions on oil and gas development, her support of litigious environmental groups, and the role of coal in the nation's energy portfolio, among other topics.
