1. KEYSTONE XL:

House Natural Resources approves pipeline bill

The House Natural Resources Committee today voted 24-17 to advance a bill that would approve the controversial Keystone XL pipeline, after rejecting five Democratic-proposed amendments to the legislation. Rep. Jim Costa (Calif.) was the only panel Democrat to support H.R. 3, which would allow construction of the Alberta-to-Texas pipeline without requiring a presidential permit.
