McCarthy's answers to GOP questions 'insufficient,' Vitter declares as confirmation vote nears

The Obama administration is planning neither a greenhouse gas rule for existing power plants nor a carbon tax, the nominee for U.S. EPA administrator, Gina McCarthy, assured the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee's top Republican ahead of the panel's scheduled vote on her confirmation this week. Ranking member David Vitter (La.) released 123 pages today of McCarthy's answers to his written questions -- responses he found "insufficient."
