Senate sends farm bill to Obama

The Senate passed the farm bill today in a 68-32 vote, sending the massive five-year reauthorization of farm and nutrition programs to the president's desk. Forty-six Democrats, 20 Republicans and two independents voted for the final bill, a conference report negotiated by agriculture leaders in the House and Senate. President Obama is expected to sign the legislation into law.
