Interior identifies 20 possible sites for bison restoration

For the first time in more than 50 years, disease-free bison from Yellowstone National Park could be restored to public and tribal lands in nearly a dozen states, mostly in the West, allowing the massive herbivores to once again fulfill important ecological and cultural roles on the landscape, according to an Interior Department report released today.
