As businesses recognize the financial advantages of building green, the private sector is slowly awakening to the green building boom. With the U.S. Green Building Council introducing its LEED for Homes certification pilot program, Jackie and Cass O'Neil of Perkiomenville, Pa., were the first in the country to receive LEED Gold certification for their newly built green homes.
