Enviro attorney talks specifics of FY2008 budget, discusses Dem response
The President's $2.9 trillion FY2008 budget calls for an elimination of the deficit by 2012. It places a major focus on defense spending and cuts funding for some domestic programs. During today's OnPoint, Rich Gold, a partner at Holland & Knight in the Public Policy and Regulation Practice Group, focuses in on the distribution of funding for environment and energy programs and discusses how Congress may respond to some of the budget cuts. Gold expects Congress to try to restore EPA funding and expects a reversal on cuts to vehicle technology funding.
