The depths of climate change skepticism and full-on denial in Alabama may be among the greatest in the Union. Some say Alabama's climate skepticism is rooted in the state's political culture, one marked by a long-standing suspicion of big government, as well as the more recent contention among many conservatives that scientific inquiry, especially in the environmental sciences, is driven by political agendas.
