Coal country got some new mines since Trump. Now what?

BIG STONE GAP, Va. — One year after President Trump shocked the nation by winning the presidency, coal country senses the beginning of a resurgence, even as the outlook for coal looks bleak. For young people, it's a tempting mirage. Some believe coal could make a comeback or, at the very least, are not writing off that possibility. Many, though, think the rebound is temporary.
