For Energy and Commerce leaders, seniority doesn't necessarily buy security

With its approval ratings at all-time lows, it's getting tough these days to find anything that actually polls worse than Congress. A Gallup poll released last week showed that 13 percent of Americans approve of the job Congress is doing, which represents Congress' worst performance this late in an election year. And when combined with the electoral uncertainty over a congressional map that has been reshuffled by the decennial redistricting process, it might seem that if ever there was a time to take a shot at Congress' most established members, it might as well be now.
