Kerry avoids pipeline debate as both sides gear up for marathon Neb. meeting

The ongoing battle over the Keystone XL pipeline will reach a fever pitch later this afternoon when the State Department convenes a public meeting in Nebraska expected to draw hundreds of supporters and opponents making their cases as the environmental review of the pipeline continues. Secretary of State John Kerry will be paying attention to none of it. "I am staying as far away from that as I can now," Kerry told a House committee yesterday when asked about the pipeline debate.
