With carbon cap efforts stalled, focus shifts to RES, low-carbon fuels
With ongoing Senate efforts to price carbon currently sputtering, a number of lower-profile proposals to curb greenhouse gas emissions are drawing the attention of lawmakers and lobbyists. Two of the larger issues under debate as Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) inches closer to unveiling a broad energy package are the strength of the renewable electricity standard that is expected to be included in the bill and whether the legislation will include a controversial low-carbon fuels standard.
