Senate Dems emerge from leadership meeting still looking for answers
Senate Democratic leaders clashed today over the contours of a comprehensive energy and climate bill in a closed-door meeting but left without any final decisions on the best route forward. Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) said he is still trying to find the right combination of energy and climate measures to bring to the floor next month and downplayed the biggest sticking point: cap-and-trade provisions to limit greenhouse gases.
