Blunt places hold on McCarthy until flood control plan is released
Sen. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.) today announced that he is placing a hold on President Obama's nominee for U.S. EPA administrator until the administration announces a timeline for the release of the draft environmental impact statement for a controversial flood-control project in his state. No confirmation hearing date has been set yet for Gina McCarthy, the EPA's air administrator, whom Obama nominated earlier this month to replace departed Administrator Lisa Jackson.
