House passes final farm bill in bipartisan vote

The House today easily passed a new bipartisan farm bill that reauthorizes agriculture and nutrition programs for the next five years. The chamber voted 251-166 in favor of H.R. 2642, despite opposition from some conservative Republicans and from Democrats concerned about its cut to the national food stamp program. Sixty-three Republicans and 103 Democrats voted against the bill.
