Anatomy of the Kardashian Twitter snafu

U.S. EPA's now-famous Kim Kardashian tweet started out innocently enough but quickly transformed into a major PR headache. A fellow working in the agency's water office was playing the game "Kim Kardashian: Hollywood" on her personal phone late on a Monday night last month. As a fellow without an official EPA phone, she sometimes used her personal phone to log into the Twitter account used by EPA's water office. So when she achieved status as a C-list celebrity in the Kardashian game, it posted not to her personal account, but to that of the water office.
