Former Treasury chief sounds alarm on another 'cruel and dangerous crisis'

Henry Paulson, who as Treasury secretary led the emergency U.S. cleanup of the economic mess left by the 2007 explosion of the mortgage bubble, is banging the drum for action now to avert what he says will be catastrophic consequences of global warming. In contrast to the financial meltdown, he warns, "there's no opportunity for the government to come in at the last minute and avert the worst outcomes."
