Policy swings shutter Iowa's biodiesel plants

WALL LAKE, Iowa — Mixed signals from Washington are feeding new doubts here in biofuel country. Nationwide, 10 biodiesel plants closed in 2019, which industry blames on the Trump administration's handling of the renewable fuel standard and uncertainty over the $1-per-gallon biodiesel tax credit.
