NPS employees ask: Where is P. Daniel Smith?

P. Daniel Smith stepped down from his perch as acting chief of the National Park Service and took on a remote, high-pay position leading the Interior Department's efforts to celebrate the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence. But NPS employees allege that Smith has been missing in action, generating "no real work product" in the past four months.
