Emma Dumain has joined E&E News’ congressional reporting team with a focus on natural resources policy.
A familiar face at the Capitol, Emma brings almost a decade of experience reporting on major policy debates and political stories as a former correspondent for McClatchy on the congressional leadership and South Carolina beats. She also covered the Hill as a reporter for the Charleston Post and Courier, Roll Call and Congressional Quarterly.
Her experience will be important for E&E News publications E&E Daily, Greenwire and E&E News PM as Congress pushes forward on key bills this summer that involve public lands policy, including fiscal 2021 appropriations, the Land Water and Conservation Fund, the Water Resources Development Act, and the National Defense Authorization Act, which traditionally involves environmental policy fights.
Emma has been on the board of the Regional Reporters Association and was secretary of the Standing Committee of Correspondents, which advocates for the daily print reporters in the Capitol Hill press corps and oversees credentialing.
