Julia came on board with E&E News as a copy editor when Climatewire was launched in 2008. A former reporter with the Central Penn Business Journal, she holds a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Chicago. She also earned master’s degrees in journalism from Columbia University and in English from Indiana University. She started her editing career at a Chicago-area book publishing firm after learning copy editing skills from Gladys Topkis of Yale University Press and Arnold Dolin of Penguin Putnam at the University of Denver Publishing Institute.
