Berg concedes in N.D., giving Democrats a 2-seat pickup

North Dakota Rep. Rick Berg (R) conceded the Senate contest this afternoon to former state Attorney General Heidi Heitkamp (D), after apparently losing the race by fewer than 3,000 votes. The Bismarck Tribune reported that Berg made his announcement at a monthly luncheon of the Fargo-area United Republican Committee of Cass County.
