GOP donor involved in science adviser's appointment

Michael Honeycutt, a top staffer at Texas' environmental agency, fell short in his bid to join the Clean Air Scientific Advisory Committee two years ago. But it was a different story last year after a major Republican campaign donor forwarded his name for a post on the Science Advisory Board to an aide of current EPA chief Scott Pruitt, according to recently released emails.
