Avery covers the nexus of business, finance and climate change, with a focus on how global financial firms and their regulators are responding to rising temperatures. Before joining Climatewire in 2020, she reported for NPR, Bloomberg Government and a community-based radio collective in Quito, Ecuador. Avery graduated from St. Olaf College with a double major in Spanish and intercultural communication.
