A clean energy group is launching a new advertising campaign targeting seven House Republicans who voted last week for President Donald Trump’s tax and spending law.

Protect Our Jobs, which launched this year in an attempt to save the renewable energy tax credits, is spending at least $1 million on the television and digital ad campaign, targeting GOP Reps. Juan Ciscomani of Arizona, Mike Carey of Ohio, Tom Barrett of Michigan, Derrick Van Orden of Wisconsin, Scott Perry of Pennsylvania, Gabe Evans of Colorado and Mariannette Miller-Meeks of Iowa. Miller-Meeks is chair of the Conservative Climate Caucus.

Most of the lawmakers are considered among the most vulnerable in next year’s elections and had previously signed on to letters advocating for the green energy credits to be saved. But all voted for the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which phases out the credits for technologies like wind energy, solar energy and batteries over the coming years.

The ads seek to connect the Republicans to higher electricity costs, citing research from organizations like Resources for the Future, which forecast that households’ power bills would go up by as much as $400 annually.
