The outgoing president said he hopes his successor will uphold climate and energy investments.

President Joe Biden says he hopes President-elect Donald Trump won’t completely torch his economic agenda.

The outgoing president delivered a speech in Washington on Tuesday aimed at touting his economic legacy, including the investments in climate and clean energy programs that the president-elect and his allies have vowed to unravel.

Biden boasted about massive investments during his administration, including efforts to funnel federal cash to incentivize production of solar panels, batteries and electric vehicles.

“That’s a construction boom and manufacturing boom all across America,” Biden said. He pointed to the climate law known as the Inflation Reduction Act, the bipartisan infrastructure law and a law aimed at boost domestic manufacturing.
