A top Biden administration water official will soon take the helm of a water recycling advocacy group.

Bruno Pigott, who led EPA’s water office last year on an acting basis, will become executive director next month of the WateReuse Association. The trade group pushes for state and national regulations, tax credits, and funding to incentivize reuse of water across different industries.

Pigott will work to educate regulators and businesses about water reuse, push for changes to state laws that restrict water recycling, and keep abreast of EPA’s water reuse initiatives, he said.
