Conservative environmental advocate Benji Backer has launched a new group focused on nonpartisan action.

Eight years ago, Backer founded the American Conservation Coalition to equip young people with a platform in a space that liberals have dominated for years. Now, days after President Donald Trump reclaimed the White House, he’s shedding political labels altogether.

On Tuesday, the author and commentator launched his new venture, Nature Is Nonpartisan, at a time when environmental and climate issues are among the country’s most polarizing.
